you can upgrade most laptops to at least 8GB. My little ass shit-tier Inspiron 1121 shipped with 2GB of ram when I got it back in 2010 but I was able to upgrade it to 8GB without an issue.

Not really but i want something more powerful than average.

I do plan on running software that requires power and decent ram

Also im without any pc/lap top so i want something cheap that will last but plan on getting a powerful desktop some time next year with 12-16gb ram and up to date processor

Shit actually looks kinda slick. My one gripe with it is that it doesn't have an optical drive but other than that it's nice.
