He can still not give a damn about the awards himself but still do what he did.

Selling some of his memorabilia I can understand, but the rings!!! Its for a good cause but I mean you would hope that something like his championship rings would be handed down from generation to generation... And what say they raise $200k or so at $50-$60k a pop, surely him and his contacts could find other ways to raise money with sponsorships etc
