The business of boxing. You don’t want to take that loss until it is financially feasible. Because the first 1 to lose moves to the B side of the card and money. When the money is right and worth the possibility of a loss they will fight.

promoters traditionally manipulated dimwitted fighters to taking and making fights that they had little to no input in to make the promoter money...and when one went down the next took his place.....it was essentially as barbaric as dog fighting.....
but because boxers are humans....eventually the fighters got smart enough to start calling their own shots....
btu since promoters are classically richer and more established in the fight game than any one fighter....they also control the media, and often shape the perception of smarter fighters as cowards and cherry pickers....and dimwitted fighters as "old school" warriors who don't care who they fight and all that shit.....

TYSON FURY has announced his return to boxing and says he will make his long-awaited comeback in April next year.
The self-titled "Gypsy King" posted on Twitter, saying he will have three fights in 2018.

Tyson Fury has revealed on Twitter that he is making a return to boxing and will have three fights next year
Fury, 29, has been without a licence since it was revoked in October last year following the fighter's failed drug test.
Taking to Twitter, the 29-year-old wrote: "Be ready to fight in April 2018 in a great fight!

Tyson Fury has been out of action owing to his well-publicised problems outside the ring
Fury hasn't fought since November 2015 when he stunned Wladimir Klitschko on points in Dusseldorf to win the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight world titles.
A rematch was scheduled for 2016 but Fury dropped out twice, because he was deemed 'medically unfit' to box.
Fury recently ranted at British boxing chief Robert Smith following cousin Hughie's controversial loss to Joseph Parker for a world title last month.

There are less than 10 people who control the entire sport of boxing. The biggest of whom is Al Haymon. @ Goldie you should study him. He is a lawyer who became one of the biggest concert promoters in the US. He moves in the the shadows and is rarely seen. He is the PBC. Also, the father of the twins that you see in the ring all the time is his right hand man. No on is sure what he does exactly because it is illegal to be a promoter and a manager. But after almost every non Mexican fight your hear the fighter say I want to thank Al Haymon. From Floyd on down. Haymon is a real bad man. In what you guys would call gangster. He controls more than Dela Hoya, Duva, Top Rank and even Hearn in the UK.

He used to work with them. He was a manager and they were promoters. He got all his fighters to start their own promotion companies to cut those guys out and he would handle the TV contracts and stuff through PBC. But he still takes a large cut and has control over most of boxing. They refuse to do business with him unless absolutely necessary
that's always been the case, but since bob owns most the media, and oscar owns the ring magazine, the get away with these spin stories.....
al haymon always been floyd advisor..and when floyd started making smarter moves tot he advice of haymon....all of a sudden he's a cherry picker who "ducks" fighters....all coincidentally bob arum fighters.....bob hates black men in boxing making money without him.....don king prolly the only one he liked

Won’t be too many new interviews. He doesn’t do them. He was the promoter of the Budweiser superfest. But you guys might not remember that.(no diss). All large black R& B tours back in the day was his. He made a lot of demands you had to work with him. He wanted a piece of the official after parties and everything.
