OPINION Dating and Severely disabled children.

ran over? chile, did they hit and then run you over with their wheelchair or was you already on the ground?
Lmaooo.

Nah, I wasn't on the ground. A few got mad and ran into me with their power or manual chair.

And it was 2 two brothers who were both walkers, but one would hit you or just randomly throw items across the class room. I was escorting my class back to class from the lunch room and all I could hear was the other teachers screaming, "Heyyy!!! Watch out!" Before I could put things in perspective, BAM! I got hit in my shoulder. I swear I saw everything in slow motion lolll.

why limit it to just a severe disability?

According to josh, kids with autism shouldnt be allowed to live either

Your Hitler remark. Was it just limited to children with severe issues or all inclusive of anyone with a genetic disorder that doesn't allow them to be born "normal"

You know of the word hyperbole right, yeah, that's what the comparison to hitler was.

It was not meant to be taken literally

I don't think severely disabled people should exist. They're born from a genetic/biological mistake and they'll most likely barely be able to comprehend reality or live a fulfilling life. They're essential children their whole lives, it's a massive amount of responsibility thrust on a parent financially and emotionally.

This was it

But you knew that

Good good. Now show me where I specifically mentioned autism?

I think it's pretty obvious from my post to gather that I'm referring to severe disabilities where a person isn't able to care for themselves let alone comprehend reality. Nowhere did I mention autism and even if you want to infer that I hinting at that, it would only apply to the most severe of end of the autistic spectrum.

I first asked could autism be detected before birth

Chi thought I was trying to move the goal posts

I then asked why limit it to just severe disabilities

It's autism no longer considered a genetic mutation?

Considering I was only talking about severe disabilities........what does this have to do with anything that I personally said?

Because I'm just trying to figure out where you draw the line

I have an autistic cousin. He's kinda high functioning but will never be able to live on his own. Should he not have had an opportunity to live based on your pov?

I see why you're taking this so hard, it's something you've been personally affected by and that's understandable. But my line is drawn @ a person who lacks the very basics in human capabilities. Can they understand what/who they are? Do they have coherent thoughts, are they able to understand the basics in rationality? Are they aware of other people's feelings etc

Basically all of the things we come to learn at least on a basic level as we go from being a child to an adult.

So your answer is yes

Thanks

autism isn't considered a genetic mutation. it can have genetic causes/setting but it can be caused entirely by environment as well. tbh it covers such wide ground that I don't think it should be viewed as one condition. I know people with autism who are high functioning to the point of not seeming different to anyone else even after hours of conversation, and people with autism who aren't able to speak at all. it can be a severe disability, but it can also be mild enough to not even be considered one. there are camps who consider it a quirk or aspect of a personality when it's high functioning.
