Them freezing cold takes about Euphoria getting more brick by the hour.

Niggas painted themselves into a corner, and gotta pretend like these light jabs and warning shots on 6:16 are a better diss.

And now it seem like the “he ain’t say nothin new” ass niggas bout to get all the tea they was lookin for.

You realize that with nothing new being revealed in 6:16 that saying it's the better song actually contradicts the whole "people just want gossip" narrative some of yall keep trying to push right?

I appreciate artists who take the time and have the skill to add those layers to the lyrics. I like being able to listen to certain shit and catch something new each time vs a mf dumbing down shit to the point that I feel stupid listening to it.

This.

I enjoy a muthafucca just going direct at someone a la Pac. Some artists are built that way.

But I equally enjoy the ones who be meticulous wit their responses. I like the Easter eggs and goin back re-listening to catch shyt I missed.

If that's the point then Kendrick won't "win". The people who already don't like Drake are still gonna continue to not like him. He wont Ja Rule him and make people literally stop buying his shit. The people who love him will continue to because there was nothing in it to make people say nah I'm not fucking with him or his music. Pusha revealing the child didn't change that. Drake literally released one of the biggest songs of his career weeks later.

And if all this started over Control then it is about outrapping him because Kendrick made it clear that's what that verse was about.

See, this is what I am talking about.

Let's imagine a war scenario.

If there is a war between two superpowers, the point isn't to nuke each other to high heaven.

The point is to get them to stop their aggression and to change.

Same if there is a conflict between a lesser power and a superpower. A lesser power isn't trying to destroy a superpower, but get them to quit and change.

The diss tracks that Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar put out isn't for the listener, it's for Drake specifically.

Euphoria is Kendrick saying, "I fucking hate you and here's why."

The Story of Adidion was Pusha T saying, "You sound really mad lately in your songs, I bet this is why."

Pusha T got Drake to stop dissing and to change his image because Pusha T was right. The smart move to make was to stop going after Pusha T and lean into sounding angry and bitter about women.

The reason why Drake fans don't understand this because they believe Back to Back is the standard now lol.

Honestly a person's preference shouldn't have to be explained. Raps been around for a min.

There has been plenty of different artist with diff styles and the way they approach a battle going back to KRS-One vs MC shan....this ish ain't new

Niggas just need to respect the fact everyone gonna have a differentice of opinion and it not always has to do with being a fan or what your particular taste of music is..

You think his fans don't understand. Im saying they dont care. People can very well understand something and still not care about it. A common narrative about Drake since he 1st came into the game is how corny he is. How he can come off as lame, a simp, fake etc. And none of that has changed their overall view and/or enjoyment of his music. And I think that's what pissing off the people who wanna see him fall. The fact that all this shit is known and people still rush to work with him and fans still rush to listen to his music.

"Remember when, picked up a pen / lyrics that I can trust"

Which makes me think... Man why did everyone just skip over Ross saying "you won't believe who wrote this" about Sicko Mode.

Pusha T hasn't been relevant in the mainstream since that song, and Kendrick isn't gonna stop Drake's next album from selling. Not things I particularly care about and not important in the grand scheme of things, but the point of diss songs and battling among other things is to prove your superiority in rap. If the goal is to pacify Drake so he can stop attacking them, mission accomplished I guess. But I'm personally not gonna look past the fact two high level lyricists had to consult Sun Tzu to properly subdue a former Canadian teen soap opera star. Let me reiterate... someone gotta get stabbed at the Kids Choice Awards for me to give a fuck about this.

But I am saying fans aren't important.

Just like in a war, the Taliban made America quit.

You think the Taliban cares that Americans still got an abundance of iPhones, food and running water or they care that America quit?

The sentiments of a fanbase is only useful to influence the artist to decide what is best for their career.

Drake knows his fans. He knows that they don't care about Hip Hop purity like that or that he is a phony. So, when he engages in a battle with someone that don't gives a fuck about trying to out rap him but dissect his rap persona, he'll quit and go back to giving his fans what they want.

He doesn't mind quitting because first and foremost Drake is about his money and fame, not proving he can beat someone in a battle.

All this a bit much. Lmaooo.

The bars were there though. Thats all I care about. Breaking down deeper meanings in bars? Im all in.

Kendrick getting taylor swifts producer cause drake said make one for the swifties? Cool stuff but idc one bit.

But bars is there so im satisfied.
Imagine you playing pick up and the big mouth nigga in the gym keeps barking "play his right, he has no left!" then you take him left and yam it on him off the dribble. That ain't for the rest of you. That's for him.

Lol then Drake should've kept his mouth shut and make songs for the bitches like supposed to do and let rappers rap.

You last sentence alludes to it

My statement was general in terms of the music I prefer to listen to and why I prefer to listen to it. Kendrick and Drake are both skilled at relaying multiple meanings and angles in their lyrics and being clever w/ the word play. Kendrick just might be better at doing it though.
